Be More Outcome Driven

If you're a creature of habit and keep doing the same things all the time, then if you keep doing what you're doing, you're going to keep getting more what you're getting.

If that's enough for you, then you're doing the right thing.

But if you're not happy with your results, then something has to change.

You need to change your focus to the outcome you want.

What is it that you want to achieve from your work?

Once you know the outcome you're looking for, you then need to ask another question.

What do you need to start doing instead of what you usually do?

If you're not sure where to start, look at others who are already achieving the outcome that you want and see what it is that they do differently than you.

Or why not take a seminar or do a course to learn what it is that you need to know?

What is it that you need to change to produce the outcome you desire?

Once you know that, you can begin to work towards it.

You need a plan of action.

To put it another way, once you know what it is that you want to achieve, then you need a step-by-step plan of what you need to do.

Then forget your outcome and work your plan.

If it helps, give yourself a time limit of how long (days, weeks, months,) you want to work your plan and then stop and see if it's moving you forward or not. Notice how many changes it's produced and whether or not they are the right changes.

It's not unusual to start working a plan and then, as you progress, discover other things that would work better or to immediately see things that aren't going to work.

It all depends on what you want to achieve and what you're doing to make it happen.

If you don't know what to do to reach your goal, download an online course/ebook and simply work your way through it.

But make sure it is something that can help you and you need to actually do the work. Don't just download something, read through it and then throw it to one side.

Most online courses/ebooks come with a money-back guarantee. So use the time of the guarantee to actually sit down and do the work and see if it does make a difference.

Years ago, when I was first starting out as a writer, I downloaded an ebook called Quick Cash Writing. I was intrigued by it because the sales page made the bold claim that I would earn at least 30-times the cost of the ebook by the time I'd finished it.

So I took on the challenge. I downloaded the ebook and started working my way through it.

And do you know what?

I'd earned way over 30-times the cost of the ebook by the time I was only half way through it. And then I kept going and finished the ebook, by which time I was a successful freelance writer.

The reason it worked was because I had a step-by-step plan (although it was the plan of the ebook author and not my own) and I worked the plan.

And it led me to the outcome I wanted which was to work from home as a freelance writer.

So what's your desired outcome?

What is it that you want to achieve?

Do you want to work from home as a freelance writer?

Do you want to earn money as an affiliate marketer?

Do you want to be a copywriter?

Do you want to work as an online writer?

Or maybe you want to do all of those things. That's possible too, but you'd have to do one at a time.

Whatever it is that you want to achieve, it starts by being sure of what it is that you want.

Once you know that, then you need a plan of how to get there.

And once you have your plan, simply work it.

Don't keep stressing and worrying over whether you're doing the right thing or whether it's getting you nearer to what you want to achieve.

Just keep moving forward and if need be, check your progress every now and again and then get back down to work.

This is what worked for me and if you're outcome driven, and I mean REALLY outcome driven, you'll get to where you want to go too, as long as you know where it is you want to go.
